Washington Citizen Action (WCA) is a statewide, grassroots lobbying
organization. The mission of WCA is to achieve economic fairness in order to
establish a democratic society characterized by racial and social
justice, with respect for diversity, and a decent quality of life for
those who reside in Washington State.
Gay City Health Project
Gay City Health Project is a grassroots health organization for gay,
bisexual and transgender (GBT) men based in Seattle, Washington. Gay
City Health Project's mission is to promote gay and bisexual men's
health and prevent HIV transmission by building community, fostering
communication and nurturing self-esteem.
AIDS Housing of Washington
The mission of AIDS Housing of Washington (AHW) is to increase and sustain the quality and quantity of HIV/AIDS housing resources throughout the United States. AHW's scope of work includes AIDS housing development in the Seattle/King County area, as well as a range of planning, organizing, and technical assistance activities both locally and nationally.
People of Color Against AIDS NetworkPOCAAN is a multi-cultural AIDS prevention organization created in response to the devastating impact that HIV/AIDS was and continues to have on communities of color. In Washington State, POCAAN brings people of color together across differences of race, gender, class and sexual orientation to achieve its mission. POCAAN maintains offices in Seattle, Tacoma, and Yakima. Lifelong AIDS Alliance
Lifelong AIDS Alliance was formed in January 2001 through the merger
of Chicken Soup Brigade and Northwest AIDS Foundation. This union
creates a new agency ready to face a new era in the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Lifelong AIDS Alliance provides housing and home chores, food and
nutrition services, insurance continuation, transportation, case
management, and emergency financial assistance to people living with
HIV/AIDS; their community services include prevention education and
national public policy advocacy.
